Last weekend, Matt and I started the very first step in recording an ‘Untitled’ record for an ‘Untitled’ band. Matt has written roughly 11 songs for the album. This will be a long and interesting process of creation and I hope to document it as much as possible. As of now a lot remains unknown, but one thing we are sure about is that the record will be tracked 100% to tape, and no computer will show it’s face near the tracking and mixing process.

EP Finished
To be self released on vinyl this summer (also available on iTunes) followed by a summer south-eastern tour.

The EP has been recorded in over 7 different places, from bedrooms to pro studios and even college campus buildings. Tracking was spread out from November 2007 to May 2008 mostly in DeKalb, and additional tracking in Chicago and Mundelein Illinois. The record was then mixed at Fat Recording Studio on their Neve console, and bounced to 1/4″ tape and sent for mastering. Some of the record was also recorded analog, to a Studer A80 24-track 2″ machine.
